From Bangladesh

Four organisations, Save the Children, Sweden, Centre for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Centre for Disability and Development (CDD) and InterLife-Bangladesh, arranged for the APT training workshop to be held in Bangladesh. The aims were for key workers from the organisations and other invited organisations, to learn the techniques of APT. This was held in February 2001 with Jean Westmacott from People Potential as the trainer. Among the things made as learning pieces, were many toys, small tables, a prone-angled standing frame and two chairs for children with cerebral palsy.

Follow-up meeting

This is arranged for the 1st April 2001, starting at 11am. The venue is Centre for Rehabilitation of the Paralysed in Savar. There will be photographs, a screening of ETV's film on the children using the APT toys and all the reports from the participants.

More from Bangladesh will follow
